I am pleased to say that I have paid the revision fee to Friesen. I expect to receive the proofs in a few weeks and, if they are good, to enter the publishing que. This isn't a long process, but it can take a month or so to be listed at all the online booksellers. I spared myself the $300 licensing fee for the Stalin photo by just going ahead and using it. It is a very famous photo and at least two press agencies are claiming rights to it. On the other hand, my revision is more extensive than provided for in the regular fee, so, with tax and the cost of three images from Adobe Stock, it was $773.
I am so glad that no matter what happens I will have created something. Having said that, I would like some recognition of it. This time I intend to pursue all the book promotion schemes and try to get a creditable review. My first step is to purchase a paid review through Friesen for . . . $650.00, which I do not have at the moment.

Thanks to an excellent income tax return, I'm very pleased to announce that the second, revised edition of Notes from Oblivion will be published sometime in April. All the final proofs have been locked and loaded for some time, awaiting a payment.
